The majority of visitors find it is best to leave their car behind, unless your particular circumstances warrant you bringing your car. If you plan to stay for a short visit it is very easy to get around Nantucket Island by bus, taxi, and bicycle or rental car. As for me, this is perfect. I rather let someone else do the driving while I just enjoy the sights. A bicycle would not be my style either. These stops are marked by grey posts with red and maroon stripes. There is elderly and disabled van service available as well on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts.
