Book Lower Travel

There is so much bombardment of advertising on which airline is offering the lowest fares and why you should use their services to book your travel. However, it all comes down to where you can book lower travel and be able to get good customer service with your purchase.

Years ago you would go into a brick and mortar travel agency to book your travel, but the Internet has taken over the face of travel today. What this means is that you no longer are able to sit face to face with someone or make that last minute phone call to get more details. Only a few online travel agencies offer their customers the added phone service. “Book your travel and forget it,” seems to be the mantra for most online travel agencies. In other words, you are on your own after you make that online purchase.

Tempted To Cruise Through Life?

Cruise is a relaxing word. You imagine deck chairs, ocean breezes - and no responsibilities. The word lets your thoughts drift at sea - unless you’re my husband.

John feels confined on ships, he feels confined in the tuxedo he’s expected to wear to formal dinners on board and he can’t be conned into feeling fine about it.

When in doubt - or you can’t get your way - compromise. We compromised by sailing on a small ship - eighty passengers, casual dress and one seating for meals with a set menu.

One advantage of this type of vacation is having to unpack only once. One disadvantage on a small ship is finding a place for everything in a three-drawer locker with three feet of hanging space. There’s no decoration in the utilitarian cabin, but an attractive sign saying, “Less is more” would have been appropriate.

Travel Travails - Confiscated Carry-ons On Sale

If you’ve ever lost knitting needles, pocket sewing kits, corkscrews or all-in-one tools to the airport security checkpoint, here’s a way to get it back. Well maybe.

Despite 9/11, more and more traveler’s are losing a grip on their goods. The TSA has devised a way to profit from your loss, however small. The confiscated items are sent to various state warehouses to be either reclaimed or sold. However, this isn’t exactly news. The Unclaimed Baggage Center has been selling lost luggage in Alabama for years. It was even featured on Oprah. It just warms my heart to know that someone may be bidding on my too tight shoes (but they were cute), old undies and brand new bathing suit.

How To Get Cheap Plane Tickets

People will tell you that to get cheap plane tickets you need to go to this website or that. What many don’t realize, however, is that the web site with the cheapest plane tickets will not always be the same one. One week it will be Hotwire, and the next week it will be Expedia or Travelocity or Priceline.

Also, some web sites will more consistently have the cheap plane tickets of a certain type or destination. One might specialize in finding deals on international flights. Another might have the most last-minute deals. Bottom line? When using the internet, you really have to check a lot of web sites if you want to consistently find the cheapest tickets.

Volunteering In Kenya - The African Volunteer Travel Opportunity

If you had to choose a country to volunteer in Africa, which destination would you choose? Kenya? You are not alone. Kenya is situated in East Africa and shares its borders with Somalia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda and Sudan. Kenya has one of the greatest or biggest wildlife habitats in the world and it is called the Masai Mara, which sees the annual migration of Wildebeast. Some of the other big animals found in Kenya include buffalo, lion, leopard, rhinoceros and elephants.

Although Kenya has some natural resources and wildlife, there is still a lot more that Kenyan people need in terms of stabilizing the economy. There is poverty, lack of healthcare facilities, lack of education and poaching and amidst all this the Kenyan and the Masai tribal people are trying hard to carve an existence.

Kenya All Inclusive Tour Packages - Affordable Tour Discount Packages In Kenya

All inclusive Kenya tour information. The most bargain Kenya safari options are the all inclusive safari packages. Best all inclusive African Kenya tour packages will mostly include a package of bargain flights to Africa, national park tour, local transport and accommodation in wilderness lodges and hotels. In Kenya, inclusive packages have a characteristic of putting all the components of a safari in one. The tour operators are able to negotiate discounts from suppliers of beds, flight seats, local transport seats and entertainment spots. The discounts are further passed on to the travelers to Kenya.

This provides a discounted safari package to an otherwise expensive tour. For example, the cost of a return flight from the USA to Kenya would normally go for usd 1700 in the tourist season. If you calculate how much a family of six would have to spend on air fare alone, then the sense of purchasing all inclusive packages becomes evident.

The Wildlife Of Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island probably offers the best wildlife viewing opportunities of any location in Australia. The sheer variety of animals and their relative ease with people mean that viewing and photographic opportunities are almost guaranteed. On top of that there are fantastic beaches, great coastal scenery and a wide mix of habitats. Highlights are the sea-lion and fur seal colonies, the koala viewing, the heath goannas, the glossy black cockatoos and the little penguins.
Overview.

Frugal Travel Tips For Los Angeles

Los Angeles, home of Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, is not the first city travelers may associate with free and frugal attractions. However for the thrifty traveler, the deals are plentiful.

The Getty

Hosting one of the best collections of art on the west coast, the Getty has such a huge catalogue of work that they’ve split the gallery into two separate sites.

The Getty Center in Los Angeles contains the collection of Western art from the Middle Ages to the present. The building is a modern masterpiece and the views fantastic.

The Getty Villa in Malibu is my favorite of the two, dedicated to the study of arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. The building is truly a Roman inspired villa surrounded by wonderful gardens.
